A LITTLE BACKSTORY
As a hairdresser myself I know nothing feels as good as a brand new, or freshly sharpened scissor…. As long as the sharpening is done right! I felt that there was a need in the area of northern New Jersey for high quality, convenient sharpening. So I took a chance and started doing research. I found an amazing trainer in Florida and spent 4 days doing one-on-one training, learning all the ins and outs of shear sharpening and repairs. Now that I know the process of high quality sharpening I cannot wait to share it with all my fellow hairstylists and barbers. “Remember even the most expensive shear performs only as good as its last sharpening.”
SHARPENING AND REPAIRS MADE EASY
Every scissor is taken apart, inspected for damage, sharpened on the Hira-To machine, finished with a wet stone process, and tested to ensure a perfect cut! (I will gladly leave a loaner scissor, if needed, for you to use while I am working on your shears.)
Are your scissors not feeling right? Clicking? Crunching? Folding hair? Are the tips not meeting or overlapping? Missing a bumper or tang/finger rest? 9 times out of 10 these are very fixable! Every so often a scissor is just too damaged and unfortunately cannot be saved, which will be communicated with the customer before proceeding with any sharpening or repair.
I will go through a long step process to ensure high quality sharpening. Never skipping steps, and as a hairdresser will test and know how the shears should be performing.
You won’t have to worry about leaving the shop or mailing your shears somewhere. Loaner shears will be available for you to use while I am working on yours.
