A LITTLE BACKSTORY
As a hairdresser myself I know nothing feels as good as a brand new, or freshly sharpened scissor…. As long as the sharpening is done right! I felt that there was a need in the area of northern New Jersey for high quality, convenient sharpening. So I took a chance and started doing research. I found an amazing trainer in Florida and spent 4 days doing one-on-one training, learning all the ins and outs of shear sharpening and repairs. Now that I know the process of high quality sharpening I cannot wait to share it with all my fellow hairstylists and barbers. “Remember even the most expensive shear performs only as good as its last sharpening.”
After being asked again and again if I sharpened knives and other types of scissors, i decided it was time to expand buzzy bee’s services! What started with a focus on professional haircutting and grooming shears has grown to include kitchen knives, craft scissors, fabric shears, upholstery shears, and more.
To make it all possible, my sister Erica has joined me in the business and became our resident “Queen Bee” of knife sharpening! She came along with me back to Florida for more hands-on, one-on-one training. We’re excited to bring these new services to the community and keep your kitchen knives, household scissors, and craft shears working their very best!
